Prison of Lij Iyasu:  is the place and the building where Lij Iyasu was kept captive as a prisoner under high security surveillance after he was deposed from his reign by Shewan nobility. Lij Iyasu Michael was the son of Ras Michael (Ali) of Wollo and the grandson of Menelek II.  He was proposed as emperor of Ethiopia after the death of Emperor Menelek II. Although he had never been crowned he assumed the reign and ruled the country from 1913-1916.  The Prison of Lij Iyasu is located in Gurawa town on the top of the hill above it  It is encircled by deep slope out of which its semi-circle area especially features a 90 degree deep cliff.
