Shaphe Rock Carving: Shaphe Rock Carvings are found at Shaphe in West Guji zone, Abbaya District. Carvings on the rocks indicate some of the art works done by ancient people. The rock carvings are close to Dilla town (only 9km). The Shaphe rock carving depict a number of cow pictures carved on the rocks. The Shaphe rock carvings are on the verge of devastation unless  actions such as systematic restoration by possible technical means, protection from erosion and area enclosure to protect from human interference are taken. If immediate protective measures are not taken, the heritage will soon disappear. According to Prof. Rojer Gesom (1993), the pictures on the Shaphe rock signify the settled life of ancient people who probably lived over 4000 years ago.
